The Livermores visit Gambier Ohio
Hi Everyone,
This past weekend Don and I traveled to Gambier, Ohio for Parent's Weekend at Kenyon College. It was a perfect fall foliage weekend.
Friday we spent time with Susan in the afternoon. She is happy, and absolutely in right place! We also had the opportunity to spend time with her roommate, Daniella. She is wonderful! Afterwards, Don and I went on a short hike at Kenyon's Environmental Center. Friday evening we attended two cultural events: the talentedThe Kokosingers (male acapella group) and a performance of Three Penny Opera, which was outstanding.
Saturday was spent shopping at a large outdoor mall in Columbus, about 1 hour away. Susan was in need of warm clothing. The evening was really fun. We had dinner at a small restaurant in Gambier, and were joined by Daniella and her family. They are warm, friendly and fun people. We spent the evening getting to know one another, then both families attended a performance of all the acapella groups on campus.
It was a wonderful, yet brief visit.
Can't wait for Thanksgiving.

The DiPalma Sisters Cheer on the Wilmington Wildcats!
On Wednesday, October 8th, those spirited DiPalma sisters lent their support to the Wilmington Wildcat Soccer Team. As Wilmington faced Lynnfield for the second time this year, they were bolstered by the cheers from the colorful and enthusastic team of Katie and Becca DiPalma. The Wildcats played hard and with great agility. DJ Livermore was particulary inspired by the presence of the DiPalma sisters. Their support and enthusiasm helped soften the Wildcat loss.
Please see the attached photos of the DiPalma Team in action!

Dude,
Your neice is hitting on my boy already and we've only been in school for a week !! We're going to need to have a little chat with her. He needs to focus more on his schoolwork. :-) ..ha.ha.ha...Classic stuff man. Listen to this one ...
The kids all carry this yellow "KLB" folder to and from school every day for paperwork, etc. So for the first week, all sorts of stuff comes home in it, notices about meetings, forms to fill out, etc. and all kinds of artwork done in class by Thomas.
Typically, if Thomas is drawing stuff, it's either a baseball, a race car or some sort of animal, whales, sharks, etc. So then on Friday, I see this thing with pink hearts all over it, a butterfly, flowers, etc. And it says "Katie" on the top and "I love you" on the bottom.
So I immediately say accusingly to Thomas, "Hey, you brought home someone else's drawing, we'd better get it back to her on Monday", so I go to put it back in his yellow folder figuring it was for her Mom or something and Katie, whoever she is will be bummed to be missing it. To this, Thomas sheepishly replies "No, it's mine, she gave it to me." I'm like "What ?"
"She gave it to me at lunch", he explains "..., they give us pencils and paper so we can draw at lunch and she made it for me and gave it to me". Stunned, I say "Do you know what it says?" and he's like "Yeah" and like whatever, dad. I can't even believe I am having this conversation with my 6 year old. A lightbulb then goes off in my head and I go ...
"Is this Katie DiPalma ?" and he looks at me quisically and nods his head yes. I almost fell on the floor laughing. Of course I tried to explain to him that I know Katie's uncle and he's like yeah whatever. You're going to have to keep your eye on that girl !! ..ha.ha.ha ... too funny ----------
We have heard quite a lot about Thomas. He runs VERY fast, and likes to wear striped shirts. Oh my. I don't think I am ready for this!
